Applications are open!

Really Big Prints! (RBP) is a biennial, multi-day, large-scale relief printmaking event in Two Rivers, WI. RBP is hosted by Wisconsin printmakers Berel Lutsky (UW Green Bay-Manitowoc Campus, Emeritus), Katie Ries (St. Norbert College), and Stephanie Carpenter (Hamilton Wood Type & Printing Museum).

Really Big Prints will return to the Hamilton Wood Type & Printing Museum in July 2025! We’ll be printing from July 16 to 19, 2025. Applications to print open on October 1, 2024 and close on January 15, 2025.

Apply to participate by filling out the form and submitting three sample images of your work. While they don’t have to be relief prints, they should reflect your style and approach to image-making. There is a $25 application fee for professional artists, it is free for students to apply. Once accepted there is a $50 fee for professional artists and a $25 fee for students to participate.

Scholarships

As in previous years, we offer a fully-funded scholarship for an underrepresented artist to print at RBP. You can apply for this scholarship by including a short statement at the end of your application. The recipient will receive free admission to RBP, along with funds for materials and travel.

If you’ve never made a relief print, consider joining our hands-on, fully supportive Really Big Prints workshop at Hamilton. Running from March through July, this workshop will guide you step by step through creating an image, transferring it to your block, choosing carving strategies, and proofing your print before RBP. Register for the workshop starting November 1, 2024.

Scholarships are available for arts educators in Manitowoc County and the Fox Valley area. Learn more and register for the scholarship here.

Volunteer with us!

Printing is a social and communal experience, and we’re always looking for extra hands! Whether you’re participating as an artist or not, we’d love your help. If you’re interested in volunteering at Really Big Prints this July, please fill out this form and we’ll be in touch!
